About Andy – Scandalous Freedom Book
Andy Kirk is the author of Scandalous Freedom book and is a public speaker. He is a former professional Rugby League player. Andy retired from the sport in 2010. He enjoyed a successful career spanning over 12 years. He began his career playing for Leeds Rhinos, making his Super League debut for the team in 2001. Since then Andy has gone on to play over 200 games in the Super League and The Championship. He played for a number of clubs including Leeds Rhinos, Salford City Reds, Wakefield Wildcats, Halifax RLFC, Widnes Vikings and Featherstone Rovers.
Scandalous Freedom Book
Andy now runs a successful Sports therapy clinic in Leeds where he uses his wealth of experience from his sporting career. He helps other professional athletes and the general public to overcome a variety of injuries and other physical ailments. He is also the author of his autobiography Scandalous Freedom book.
School Speaker and Education
Since 2013, Andy has been speaking in schools, churches and to youth groups about ‘The harmful effects of pornography‘. Andy also speaks about the various issues surrounded ‘sexting’ which has become a massive issue in high schools across the country.
Andy’s talks have a huge impact on the young people he speaks to. He uses his own experience of becoming addicted to pornography from first viewing it at the tender age of 11. He tells his own personal account about how and why he first started watching porn, how it negatively affected his life and how he got eventually got free from the addiction.
Alongside his own personal account, Andy uses short videos and an effective presentation style to educate his audience about the harmful effects of pornography. He explains how over the last 10-15 years, scientists have discovered how addictive porn is and how it affects the brain in the same way as many hard drugs such as heroin or cocaine.
